The involvement of agents in Pakistan in the IPL next year will be discussed during the next IPL Governing Council meeting of October 14 Rajiv Shukla, chairman of the league, said. Pakistan players not involved in the IPL after the terrorist attacks in Mumbai in November 2008 and although 11 of them appears in the auction list for the third edition of the tournament in 2010, none was picked up by the franchises. Some of these franchises to increase the uncertainty about his availability after the rupture of diplomatic relations between India and Pakistan.
"This decision must be made by the Board of Directors. Not that Pakistan as a country has been banned from the IPL," Shukla told PTI. "Your Services (Pakistan) arbitrators were used. Some franchises have Pakistani former players and coaches too, and also support staff. Not that Pakistan as a whole has been banned or something. This is not to ban all".
The final appeal, however, to rest the franchise, Shukla said. "Some Pakistani players, the franchise is merely to decide whether or not they want to take Pakistani players. And we need to consider some aspects before deciding."
Regarding the resumption of ties with Pakistan cricket, said questions about security Shukla and planning are needed to be resolved before proceeding. It was not too enthusiastic about the idea of playing at a neutral location. "We worked together. The question is whether the circumstances and some questions in terms of safety .... These issues should be addressed. Only then can we think about it.
"At the same time, there is no slot available. If space is available, then these things can be discussed. Everyone wants to revive cricket links, to be resumed, but the slot must not bonds.
"Secondly, the environment should be fun because I think we should play on the floor of each other rather than play third. There is no need to play third."
The termination of the franchise from Kochi and the number of teams for the next IPL will also be discussed at the meeting.
