South Africa call up Ryan McLaren for T20s

Allrounder Ryan McLaren replaced in Albie Morkel South African team for the international community against Australia two Twenty20 October 13 and 16. Morkel is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks after suffering a torn abdominal muscle while playing for Chennai Super Kings Champions Twenty20 League.

"Although it is a blow to lose Albie Morkel, Ryan McLaren has always done well for us in this format", Andrew Hudson, the initiator of the voters said. "It is one of the few bowlers to take five wickets in a T20 international. In addition, he joined the series in good shape, having a big century for the Knights this weekend."

Mark Boucher also suffered an injury to his thigh while playing for the Warriors in the Champions League T20. He missed the last group match and is expected to get eight to 10 days, in time for the ODI series against Australia, starting October 19.
