Rajiv Shukla, the new chairman of IPL, said that the interest of players who are under contract to the end of franchise Tuskers Kerala Kochi will be protected. Shukla said the Board of Directors of IPL will meet in the second week of October to discuss issues related to the termination.

"Our main concern will be of interest of the players is their interest not hindered by financial losses and also in respect of their participation in the tournament," said Shukla PTI. "Suppose that these players are given auction for some other franchises and there is a difference in what they are supposed to come, he will be compensated by us.

"So at the end of this franchise [Kochi], are now nine teams remain. All this goes to the Governing Council, and are of the opinion, if we go to another team, or we should stick to nine teams. I, I'm well, and plans and what the Council decides to go with this. "

N Srinivasan, BCCI's new president, had earlier said that the work would be to find a "just solution which is valid as well as the players and the BCCI."

Kochi franchise BCCI was closed for the General Assembly on September 19 violations of its terms. BCCI, the franchisees could not provide a bank guarantee for the new 2011. Cochin has denied that they had the money to BCCI and left the table against the Bombay High Court on Wednesday. However, the judge dismissed the case, Kochi retain BCCI built its bank guarantee of Rs 156 crore. Kochi, then appeal to the court's decision, and a new hearing is set for Thursday.

"Space is the issue of non-payment, Kochi has been interrupted between the franchises, and from the BCCI," Shukla said. "They had to pay a bank guarantee ... they went to court and the judge did not give them any relief and the BCCI has the right to redeem the bank guarantee."

Shukla, however, ruled out any immediate possibility of a new owner coming to Kochi. "No, now if the decision is made, is based on a new offer."
