Big Picture

It was easy for England on Friday night, as they galloped to their top 10 wicket victory in a Twenty20 international and dynamism showed no sign of abating as the season draws to a close. The match was a contest for 10 overs, West Indies 97-2 but fell in sad fashion against a combination of Ravi Bopara, Jade Dernbach and Fielding unique in England.

Graeme Swann had to make a reflection Dwayne Smith cut loose in the Powerplay, but he remained calm and produced a series of intelligent bowling changes, including the use of Samit Patel, Bopara then trust with the remains of the dead. No wonder it was a joyous mood after the game. Andrew Strauss, Alastair Cook and Stuart Broad not hear the end of time as Captain Swann.

For a time in the West Indies suggested that it would present a challenge, but the batsmen struggled around inexperience showed through. However, everyone knew that this was the rough side, and deficiencies in batting and bowling, you can almost accept. Fielding a level shocking, even though it was really embarrassing. No matter how inexperienced the team should be able to compete with the binding through the dive, grab and throw.

West Indies was the first game "against post-season, so I expected some rust, but the team had spent time in a camp in Barbados before the trip. Ottis Gibson, the coach must be exasperated by what he sees. It is difficult to see much change one day between games, but West Indies cling to the hope that performance may win a Twenty20 game. In truth, however, much more is needed to stop England.

Spotlight

Alex Hales and Craig Kieswetter played two big hit off-target in the first game, but the 10-wicket margin meant that there was a chance to see England's exciting Middle-order action. Jos Buttler, Somerset wicketkeeper-batsman, has played two Twenty20 Internationals and still not arrived in the middle. Even if a guard by trade, he showed some brilliance in the outfield and made a direct hit to run out Devendra Bishoo Friday. Right after this series is over and it is on its way to joining Somerset in the Twenty20 Champions League.

Marlon Samuels is an experienced player in the middle of a series of new faces in the West Indies, but has fought in four of the seven balls before cleared of Swann. He had come after a flying start provided by Dwayne Smith, and was disappointed that he could not confirm. It 'hard to find and I'll be right against the bowling of quality, but Samuels was unable to give a little' more. West Indies need him to do.

Team news

There has been a great help for English spinners in the opening game so there is the temptation to play either, Scott Borthwick, Durham or Hampshire left arm spinner Danny Briggs legspinner, although it is difficult to see how it would fit in One possibility would be to leave, Steven Finn, but will be with a previous Dernbach innings.

It's hard to know what they can do the West Indies, but they can not lose anything by making some changes. Nkrumah Bonner looked out of depth with bat and ball Miles Bascombe can get a game, while the left arm spin Garey Mathurin could be used in a worn surface.

Pitch and conditions

The step is used the same on Sunday, so expect more assistance to the spinners. Bopara has also demonstrated the value of taking the pace off the ball and bowling straight. The time is set right in the United Kingdom to enjoy some 'time of late summer as the season draws to a close.
