Hampshire all-rounder Liam Dawson was signed as a franchise player abroad in Zimbabwe mountaineers.
Dawson, 21, scored 908 runs in New Hampshire in the County Championship Division One with an average of 36.32 including two centuries and took three wickets. Hampshire finished bottom of the points table and were relegated to the second division.
"I've never been there [in Zimbabwe] before, but I have to be ready because there is more pressure and responsibility as a player abroad," said Dawson. "You must prove you are good enough to take their place abroad - there must be some other players from England there too."
