Umar Akmal was launched by the Pakistan test team for their series against Sri Lanka in United Arab Emirates later this month. Shoaib Malik, who was on tour in Zimbabwe in Pakistan after obtaining permission from the PCB, is a place in the squad of 15 men.
Many of the bowlers were rested first-choice back to tour Zimbabwe. Umar Gul, Wahab Riaz, and to come back and join Aizaz Cheema Junaid Khan and the fast bowling department, where there is no place for Sohail Tanvir Ahmed and Tanvir. Left arm spinner Abdur Rehman also return to the team when Imran Farhat was retained as the third opening Mohammad Hafeez together and Taufeeq Umar.
Umar Akmal has not scored a Test century since its inception in 2009, very impressive. After a bad year in 2010, when he averaged only 24.33, he was out of the XI for the two tests in New Zealand. He returned to the test in the Caribbean, but after scoring a single test of a half century this year and struggling to play ODIs and long sleeves, was not included in the test team.
"Omar is a talented cricketer, but he was not justifying his place in Test cricket," Mohsin Khan, Pakistan's chief selector, said in explaining his decision. "This was the reason for our middle-order problems faced during the recent tour [in Zimbabwe]. It can be good at cricket and more limited, but tests and ODIs are mixed games.
'Experiments' Umar does not need to be an innings when we advised him to play domestic cricket and learn to bat for a long time. "
Asad Umar Akmal Shafiq exclusion means and Shoaib Malik will fight for a place in the Middle control. After a year off on the configuration of Pakistan, Malik received approval for the selection of the integrity of the PCB just in time to go to Zimbabwe. He did not play tests there, and not make a difference in ODIs and Twenty20 international. It has always been efficient in the way of the internal market, where he finished second in both run-getter in Division Quaid-e-Azam Trophy last season with 799 runs at an average of 73.57. Shafiq, meanwhile, struggled in the tests for half a century in each of his first two rounds.
The inclusion in the team Malik comes the same day he led to victory in the Sialkot Cup T20 Faysal Bank after them do it with 88 unbeaten in the semifinal. Mohsin, however, said his Twenty20 performances were not a factor in deciding the test team. "Shoaib is not selected on the basis of the Twenty20 Cup, but what inspired us was his ability and form, it is currently in."
The exclusion of other notables of the team is Tanvir Ahmed, who took 16 wickets in four tests he has played since his debut against South Africa in November last year. He was not in the Zimbabwe tour, however, and Cheema, who took eight wickets in his debut Test in Bulawayo and another eight wickets in the series of three games a day, keeps his place.
Cheema was one of several operators gives them the opportunity to tour Zimbabwe, but not all retained their places. "There may be players dropped after the recent visit to Zimbabwe, but the opportunity was taken to the youth," said Mohsin. "We had to try new players and now we have an idea of who is where."
Junaid Khan made his debut Test in Bulawayo, and although it was not as successful as he was elected Cheema, Mohsin said, because of his ability to bowl fast. "When Junaid was maintained in spite of his unimpressive form, it is because we need to be a real player in a hurry."
The first three test starts on October 18th Abu Dhabi.
