Mtutuzeli Nyoka, former CSA president, has been voted out of office for the second time this year at a special board general board meeting in Johannesburg. Nyoka was removed by an "overwhelming majority" after being accused of various misdemeanours, the most serious of which is bringing the organisation into disrepute. Vice-president AK Khan will serve as acting president until August 2012, when the next elections are scheduled.

The decision brings to an end a 16-month saga which has essentially revolved around a battle between CSA chief executive Gerald Majola, and Nyoka. Majola and 39 other staff members received a collective R4.7 million (US$ 671.428) in bonuses after the hosting of the 2009 IPL and Champions Trophy but those payments were not authorised through CSA's remunerations committee (REMCO) and were picked up as irregularities. Nyoka had repeatedly pushed for an external audit and had already lost one vote of no-confidence and had to win a court battle to be reinstated.

The decision ends a 16-month saga which mainly revolved around a battle between the CSA CEO Gerald Majola and Nyoka. Majola and 39 other employees received a collective R4.7 million ($ 671,428 U.S.) in bonuses after hosting the 2009 IPL and Champions Trophy, but these payments are not approved by the remuneration committee of the CSA ( Remco) and were picked up as anomalies. Nyoka had repeatedly pressed for an external audit, and had lost a vote of no confidence and had to win a court battle to be reinstated.

KPMG ultimately responsible for reviewing the financial affairs of the CSA and found that Majola may have violated Companies Act with four counts. It is recommended that legal advice led to a severe reprimand Majola. However, the dispute between Majola and Nyoka had not cooled, as Nyoka difficulty accessing various documents. Nyoka also continued warning against endemic corruption in South African society, but received little support within the CSA.

At the end of their annual conference, the CSA on the second motion of censure Nyoka. He had violated the protocol and Media Companies Act, taking his fee in advance that they were satisfied with the way he treated the press releases and team manager Mohammad Moosajee wrote a letter, make it difficult to maintain the behavior Nyoka Moosajee team discipline.

Nyoka office has completed 10 months, and this time there are signs that he will not fight. Although his lawyer, Bernard Matheson, believes his client will be right to take CSA to court, if it is removed, because Matheson said that the land is bad, Nyoka seem to have accepted his fate. CSA also do not expect another legal battle, even though Khan said that the ability to reproduce can not be confirmed by Nyoka itself. "You have to decide that Dr Nyoka," he said after the special meeting. "All I can say is that I am deeply sorry for all this. I've never seen someone take an organization they serve voluntarily in court. "

CSA has also had to deal with the loss remco Manager Mgodosu Thandeka, who tend to his letter of resignation on Friday. He said that no longer work with the current government because it believes that there is a lack of transparency. Khan said that the majority of the board has learned withdrew Saturday morning, but are confident they can go on without him. "There are people who are highly trained to bring remco and nothing prevents us from obtaining expertise from outside," said Khan. With the government and pay bonuses to internal and external, through a central issue remco ongoing saga, the CSA is the process of appointment of the Head of Legal and Compliance, and said they are close to indicate who is to occupy that place.

Also looming is the announcement of sponsors who have been reluctant to deal with CSA until the Board issues were resolved. Majola confirmed that two offers were made and will be available to the public this week. Courses T20 series against Australia was forced to play without a sponsor and CSA gave the naming rights to a charitable organization at no charge. He was considered an important gap, but Khan said that the organization well. "The CSA was in an excellent financial position to address these difficult issues," he said. "We also signed a deal with R1.5 one billion television stations." Khan said the CSA is ready to "go to each business partner and answer questions they have in mind."

Transparency is the new word throughout the CSA, but it will take time before the public is convinced that the organization, and Maloja, are exempt from blame. They hinted at KPMG, released after the finalization of the board and obtain permission from KPMG. If this happens, the easier it is to some extent the concerns. Now the government is simply to recognize that they have made a mistake. "We made mistakes, but we love the game and want to serve me," said Khan.
