Siddarth Ravindran Report

September 19, 2011

Trinidad & Tobago 144 for 5 (44 * Congratulations Darren, Sherwin Ganga 39 *) beat Ruhuna 138 (Chandimal 50) by five wickets

Trinidad & Tobago has added to their list of happy memories in Hyderabad taking a big step towards qualifying for the Champions League with a hard fought victory in Ruhuna. The first Ruhuna choked off away from the ball, keeping control of Sri Lanka to 138, but the same tactic worked for Ruhuna and until Sherwin Ganga 39 off 15 deliveries CLOB to seal a low score game.

Ganga winner forged partnership with Darren Bravo for making the T & T out of the hole they found themselves in after 14 overs, needs another 58 runs with half the team lost. Bravo played an inning in the relatively measured over the first and pays tribute to Hollywood success, consumed more than his teammates. He finished unbeaten on 44, leaving Ganga to play the hits.

After a lot of limits of the Ganges from the T & T on track, a narrow animal early TN Sampath is difficult to win a 19 off the last two. T & T does not even need a comprehensive medium-pacer on the Arosha Janod was dismantled. Ganga drive the first ball to long on the border, where a leaping Sampath he could not palm for six, he then broke a wide range of complete melting points past four, before ending the game by throwing the ball on the Six other long.

For a man who has just 75 runs in their Twenty20 26 games of his career, was an unexpected effort Ganga, who had received only two calls at the cost of its primary function as offspinner. A similar surprise was the performance of the great names of Ruhuna, Sanath Jayasuriya, who won titles in anticipation of some hitters only to falter as an opening, but it shines with his left arm spin.

Ruhuna was in trouble after her performance in the club's stuttering - which included a record-equaling five races - has left a small total to defend, but Jayasuriya and Janaka Gunaratne offspinner suffocated won races and batters the windows and went to the big shots. Two of the most talented musicians of Trinidad and Tobago, Adrian Barath and Lendl Simmons were dismissed during the first three overs, but a third of young people said their next exciting Congratulations stayed in the game.

It 'was another young forward that much is expected, Dinesh Chandimal, who gave some of Ruhuna full respect for fighting with a half-century after men more experienced than the flop in order. Jayasuriya fell to Samuel Badree googly in the third over, and a pair of run-out for the next - one of about two to invite abuse, and other bowler Ravi Rampaul print intervene in the no-hit the trail in search of the airport - in Ruhuna left at 26 3

Chandimal a six muscle during downtime in the sixth over, but fluid Gunaratne missing, there were no limits for the next four overs. The relief was evident on his face when he tickled a ball Chandimal side of the leg down to fine leg for four. The pair put on 67 to stabilize the innings, although the implementation rate hovers around only six.

The introduction of Simmons, an attack that kickstart Ruhuna innings as Kushal Perera Sampath and plundered 19 in the penultimate over. In 137 6, and one to go further, Ruhuna seemed destined to meet the Captain launch, about a score of 150, but Rampaul bowled the perfect final addition to denying them. Some find York, and three run-outs to ensure more than just outside, and a smaller size than they had hoped.
