Graeme Swann said it was "happy" about the possibility that the captain of the English two-day series against West Indies Twenty20 later this month, Stuart Broad and without Eoin Morgan.
Outside the normal Twenty20 captain who began his reign in the early season against Sri Lanka was ruled out from the rest of the season at home in England, and the five parties ODI series in India next month after he suffered a muscle tear in the right shoulder in the fourth ODI against India in the Lord. Morgan, Broad vice-captain, has already been ruled out until January with his own shoulder problem.
Kevin Pietersen continued rest, Swann was one of the few viable alternatives to access the current Twenty20.
