Shukla Aims To Replace Amin As Chairman Of The IPL

Chirayu Amin, the current chairman of the IPL is likely to resign from the post of BCCI Annual General Meeting to be held September 19 and 20 in Mumbai, ESPNcricinfo has learned. Amin said that the BCCI has no time to devote to work, and Rajiv Shukla, the Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Directors from the central area, is the person who seeks to bring.

Shukla is a minister of the Union government of India and believed it could help smooth communication between the BCCI and the government in the light of the controversies that surround the IPL.

Amin can not withdraw into the background, however, and might be interested in the position of treasurer of the BCCI, the sources said. At this point, the position seemed to be a contest between incumbent President Niranjan Shah West Zone Vice President and President of the Maharashtra Cricket Association, Ajay Shirke, who is a member of the Board of IPL Shah thought was inside the track.
