Besides the election of officers, the Board will make appointments to all its various subcommittees, including the selection committee for the year 2011-12. Kris Srikkanth, the chairman of selection committee is likely to have his mandate extended by a fourth and final year, but Yashpal Sharma is a term and Mohinder Amarnath, who is currently one of the two former cricketers in the IPL committee, could be a replacement for the Northern Zone. Other agenda items include the appointment of a full-time executive director for the national team and the representative of the Board or a representative to meetings of the ICC.
Ranjib Biswal pioneer is designed for the post of secretary, but does not enjoy unanimous support of trade unions to the east, and is believed to have cost him the nomination.
