b> What type of structure allows the BCCI have?

The BCCI is a non-profit corporation and registered with the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act in 1928. Its members include various cricket associations of the state. There are 30 members in total.

What are the different positions on the official forum?

There are nine positions on the board officers: president, honorary secretary, the assistant secretary, treasurer and five vice presidents, one from each region of India. The nine positions are unpaid. In 2006, the Board created its first paid position, that of managing director.

Is there an expression of the different positions?

According to the constitution of the BCCI, the term of office is three years and those elected can not occupy a position of time. For example, Shashank Manohar, the outgoing president is not eligible for the presidential election of the board again. However, Vice-Presidents may be reelected for more than one term.

How are candidates for different?

Candidates wishing to participate in elections only have to be proposed and seconded by members eligible to participate and vote at the AGM. However, in general, a candidate shall not be unless it was approved by the state association. In most cases, candidates are chosen by consensus, especially those representing a particular area, even if there are elections in dispute and, more recently, in 2005, when the Supreme Court of India intervened to ensure that elections were fair.

Who vote at the meeting?

Each member association allows a person to represent you at the meeting. The authorization must be sent to the BCCI before the meeting. This person votes in the name of the member association.

What else will happen to the General Assembly?

Apart from handling routine procedures, such as approval of accounts and minutes of previous meetings, the BCCI also appoint its various sub-committees for one year at a time. Thus, at each general meeting of the committees are reconstituted. The most powerful committees are working committees, that most council decisions made. These decisions are then ratified at the AGM. There are 23 committees in all, including committees of IPL Governing Council and the various selection committees. Committee appointments are usually made on the second day of the meeting.
