India in England 2011

Former Chairman of selectors Kiran More said the decision to recall Rahul Dravid 38 years of limited overs side for England tour reflects poor planning by the committee of selection.

"I think they did a lot of changes recently," he told Reuters more. "And the changes were not looking to the future. I do not know what your thinking, but I know things have not gone well."

Most said that although the decision to recall Dravid was the striker of his caliber was needed to keep the filling together in tough conditions, there was a farsighted decision. Dravid made two centuries in the first two tests in England, but in the last match of the ODI in India, in September 2009 during the Champions Trophy in South Africa. Dravid, who was surprised he remembers, told the ODIs to retire after a series England.

"They needed an offensive expert, believes some of the players who have been exposed to this tour. Under English, you must be a batsman who can deliver innings, and the reason for his [Dravid] have been collected.

"After the World Cup, they (selectors) have missed a call and thought to build a team for the next World Cup too," said Mas. "To win another World Cup Cricket and dominate the world, we need good planning, but it is not. It's a bit messy."

India's pace attack for a limited transfer of the foot tour of England consisted of Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Vinay Kumar Patel and Munafo. Zaheer then closed the series and left arm seamer RP Singh, was named to replace him. Selectors - Krishnamachari Srikkanth led by president - left out fast bowler Sreesanth, who is part of the test team, the 16-man limited-overs Squad, and more said such decisions would send the wrong signal to the players.

"The players are confused. Sreesanth Now is not the team one day, but that's bowling. I do not know what the trust you place in Sreesanth. Was part of the team World Cup, but is not part of the [ current] one-day team. Yusuf Pathan could have played a few games ... not a bad player. They are not sending the proper signals to the players. "
