Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) said they agreed with Daren Ganga captain, who suggested that in future the country could break with the West Indies Cricket and try to become an international team of himself.

"We do not share the opinion that Mr. Ganga to the general public are in support of an independent team in the world of cricket," Azim Bassarath, BCEF president, told Newsday in Trinidad & Tobago. "We think it would be counterproductive to the rich heritage of West Indies Cricket and a huge setback to efforts to restore the area to its glory days undisputed former champions in the world for nearly two decades.

"We are proud that the cricketers of T & T can compete at the highest level in the game as a team, but we believe they still represent a significant and important cricket in the Caribbean.

"We remain committed to an ideal in the Netherlands Antilles as a representative of the regional team and a genuine case to work together for the benefit of all stakeholders in regional cricket is still relevant today as it was many years ago. The problems that we agree, but there is no weakening of the Union we need to party. "

Ganga had presented his ideas in an interview ESPNcricinfo in Hyderabad, where T & T were the most important task is to qualify for the Champions League Twenty20 .. "If we do well in the world, such as the Champions League, you're going to have to apply public pressure, when they think that the team of T & T is able to tackle alone, and have the 'opportunity to go it alone for more than 50 or 20 more than the World Cup.
