KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi is likely to take back his retirement from international cricket on Wednesday, his family friend told The Sports Encounter on Tuesday. His family friend told on condition of anonymity, “He will take his retirement’s decision back on Wednesday and announce his international comeback in a press conference, which is going to held in his residence in Karachi”. A source in PCB claimed if Shahid Afidi shuns his retirement from international cricket then he will be part of the One-Dayers against Sri Lanka as selection committee is keen to pick him into the national squad. “Afridi will most probably meet new chairman cricket board this week”, he revealed. Shahid Afridi had announced international retirement in protest on 30th of May this year. He has represented Pakistan in 27 Test, 325 ODIs and 43 T20Is.
