Kirstie Thomson and Alison Hodgkinson is included in the team's series against South Africa in England in October. 15-member team will be captained by Cri-Zelda English, with the Deputy Trisha Chetty.

Thomson returns after an absence of nearly a year of cricket through injury, while batsman Hodgkinson is back after being abandoned in 2005. Hodgkinson was last represented South Africa in an ODI against West Indies in April 2005 and was looking forward to another international gateway. "It's great to know that hard work always pays off," says Hodgkinson Supersport.com. "I trained harder than I ever in my life to earn my place."

Brits captain said his team will be wary of England. "We know that as World No. 1 team and they will not hold anything back, but I have a strong belief in the team coach and the voters chose," the British say. "We are the best we have ever been physically and mentally, and we look forward to this tour began."

The series gives a chance in South Africa to assess their progress under the leadership of Yashin Ebrahim, Hassen. "This series against England would be an excellent measure to assess where we are in the women cricket," he said. "With a little luck I hope we can cross the finish line first, not as we will try to grow as a unit."
