Pakistan can shift their focus on the experience of taking the series in Sri Lanka at home in the UAE, according to Mohsin Khan chief selector. Khan suggested that the bowling attack was likely to be reinforced after trying out new players against Zimbabwe.

"We can not just go [to play in Sri Lanka] with a combination similar to the [Tour of Zimbabwe] was just a test for our back-up many opportunities," Khan said ESPNcricinfo. "Yes, it was a successful experiment, but we are wary of the opposition, which Sri Lanka is a hard side to play.

"[Find the talent] is a continuous process and the focus is now on to find players with good skills Fielding."

The Pakistan team for the recent series against Zimbabwe was an experiment with the bowling attack in particular, offers several new names, and missing a few senior players.

The test series will be followed by five ODIs and Twenty20 game.
