Cape Cobras v New South Wales, September 24
Start time 1600 (1030 GMT)
This tournament has so far been slow on the track, and even slower bowlers slow things down below. The low score is not a great round of bowling - yes, there is virtually no teeth - but the slow and baseness.
The situation may change when the South African champions and finalists from Australia go against each other. The crash may involve a competition between the combination of the opening pace attack more exciting and better. Shane Watson and Dale Steyn duel in a contest much more attractive in the final tests this year, but this is pretty good as an aperitif. If Test cricket requires more adjustments Watson, Steyn try harder to integrate into the retail format in India slow tracks. Charl Langeveldt David Warner and competition should be a law of explosive batsmen and fast bowlers. Now if only the field play ball Chennai.
Warning ...
When Watson and Warner promising much more than it can be easy - and dangerous - to forget Hersch Gibbs. It may be out of international cricket, but with Richard Levi - added 88 to set a national final South African to win - he forms a potentially dangerous combination.
With Michael Kasprowicz style cutters, Stuart Clark might be a handful in Indian conditions. Even in the Big Bash, he went for less than six an over in the seven games he played, took nine gates to 17.22.
Team News
Cape Cobras lost Claude Henderson to the team that won the national final - he played for Leicestershire - but Steyn is a welcome addition.
New South Wales has three spinners in their ranks - Nathan Hauritz, Steve O'Keefe and Steven Smith - which gives them a lot of options should be up Turner. Watson is also a great side that lost the Big Bash final.
Curiosities
Warner hit six fours in 116 304 Twenty20 cricket. He is the ninth in the list of all six batters, and only three men have hit more of him on all fours.
This is the first time these two teams play against each other
Citations
"I think we are outsiders. The other teams have players who have made exceptionally well in recent years, but we are confident and can play good cricket."
Justin Kemp did not talk much before the event
"The ball just seems to stay here, and spin, today's order. We played a game at Chepauk practice and it was useful. Since we have three good spinners in the team, we will not be afraid to experiment. " Simon Katich believes he has the horses for this course
