Leicestershire versatile Andrew McDonald leaving the county because of visa problems. McDonald visa problems have arisen because the time that has elapsed since he last played for Australia in January 2009 means that it can no longer be considered a foreign player in the County cricket. McDonald joined the retirement Paul Nixon and Harry Gurney Nottinghamshire bound to leave the county.
"Visa Regulations means Andrew can not return next season and we thank you for the impact it has had in the last two years," said CEO Mike Siddall Leicestershire. "It's really sad to say goodbye to three men on the staff of the game that have made a fantastic contribution to win the T20 this year and take the Leicestershire in the Champions League."
McDonald, 30, of Leicestershire has Twenty20 Player of the Year this season, scoring 584 runs and taking 14 wickets during the great success of the national provincial title.
