Left arm spinner Gary Keedy has ended speculation over his future by committing the county of Lancashire, and by signing a new contract to play them next season.

Keedy, 36, had been considering a change of Warwickshire, which had offered a three-year contract, but now stays with the county for which he has played since 1995.

"There has been much speculation lately, but I'm happy to say that will be representing Lancashire next season," confirmed Keedy, Lancashire, who was leading wicket-taker in his successful career with the Championship title with scalps from 61 to 23, 63 years.

Keedy also played an important role as a parent member of the Lancashire side, who ended 77 years of waiting for the provincial championship silverware.

It took five rings in the first innings on the penultimate day of the season against Hampshire Lancashire before another left arm spinner Simon Kerrigan took the stage, and in fact was directly affected Keedy short - the first in his career 17 years - the end of the manga Taunton Somerset to establish security in Lancashire run chase.
