September 15, 2011

388 Durham beat Worcestershire 264 and 288 and 213 by 151 runs

Durham have completed their eighth win of the season by beating Worcestershire by 151 runs 15 minutes after lunch at Chester-le-Street. Worcestershire was 11 defeats in 16 games, making the division a remarkable survival, which disappeared quickly after reaching 128 for 2 in pursuit of 365.

Despite a late flourish by Richard Jones, Ian Blackwell who hit two sixes and a four in one over, the visitors were all out for 213. Recovery in 65 to 2, James Cameron and Moeen Ali played well for the first time, defying all efforts to Graham Onions.

The paceman was clearly irritated by the contempt of the left-Cameron, who survived a call just before LBW Trust to slip edging slightly lower for the first time in 38. After successfully entering the role of late in the game of the season, Cameron confirmed that he is also capable of beating quality.

The onion has softened and Mitch Claydon scored two more wickets in their second. Shortly after Blackwell gently drawn more about the six, Ali fell from 38 at the edge of a Michael Di Venuto unit slip seconds later and Alexei Kervezee three balls to cut the mustard, Phil.

While Blackwell is one of Cameron to have IPN on the back foot for the 47th Gareth Andrew clearly has no intention of dragging him and Blackwell shocked by a reverse sweep for 15

Matthew Pardoe of 27 before slipping on board, then leg-spinner Scott Borthwick Blackwell found more bounce to find the summit of Ben Scott, when in turn shaped like a foot. He threw a backward square leg, easy catch.

KEMAR Roach motioned to the first ball after lunch and edged to slip and claimed his third wicket Borthwick in the last man Alan Richardson has led to mid-on.
