The captain of Australia, Michael Clarke, hoping it will have input as to who will replace Tim Nielsen as coach of the team. Clarke arrived home in Sydney on Wednesday night after leading Australia to a 1-0 win in the test series Sri Lanka, where Nielsen has completed the tour by announcing his decision to resign from coaching.

This means that Australia will be interim coach of the tour in South Africa next month - probably one of the assistants, Steve Rixon and Justin Langer - while the search continues for a full-time replacement. Clarke is believed to have great respect for his former coach in New South Wales, Rixon, and while it has no favorite names, said he hopes the ruling will be considered as Cricket Australia noted for their new man.

"I hope I will [have a voice]," says Clarke. "I have a very good relationship with James Sutherland, the CEO and I am sure that it is important that the captain and the coach have a link strong. I guess I kind of an effect and I should contact James for how long, so try to find who they think the best person for the role.

"There are many successful coaches in the world and I think the priority that the audit is clear is that they will try to get the best person for the job. I think Tim Nielsen has done a fantastic job for Australia. It was fantastic for me, not only as captain but as a player and he will surely be missed. "

The main candidates to replace Nielsen Rixon, who coached with success in New Zealand and New South Wales, and Mickey Arthur, the first of South Africa as a mentor. Arthur prepares for his second season as coach of Western Australia.

Nielsen resignation came after the release of the Journal Argus, which recommends a larger memory for the coach. Whoever gets the new job will not only guide the national team, which will also lead the training style that seeps into the state and the level of the academy, and Clarke was one of the Australia selection panel of five men .
